Glenda’s natural marketing acumen has propelled her business into the spotlight, making her one of Hampton Roads' most recognized figures. Through bold and creative TV advertising campaigns for over 20 years, Glenda became a “grocery store celebrity,” with a brand that resonates deeply in the community.

Though Jeff has run the day-to-day operations of the pawn shops, Glenda has always been the backbone of the business. Behind the scenes, she managed logistics, raised a family, and more recently, became the face of Greenbrier Pawn Shop and Hilltop Pawn Shop on TV. A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Glenda finds joy in art, tennis, shooting, and tending to her family farm where she cares for cows, donkeys, and chickens. Glenda’s journey to Hampton Roads began in 1986 when the U.S. Navy brought her here. A proud veteran, Glenda served a total of nine years in active and reserve duty as an ET, Electronics Technician. Jeff served in the Army, including a combat tour during the Gulf War. After her time in the reserves, Glenda briefly worked as an art teacher for the City of Virginia Beach before realizing that Jeff needed help with their growing pawn business, alongside raising their children.

Now, Glenda is taking her entrepreneurial spirit to the next level by adding Glenda Craddock Gold to the family portfolio. The new venture is a response to the growing demand for physical gold as an investment. While Glenda and Jeff understand that holding physical gold is not for everyone, they recognize that for those who see the value and accept the risks, gold can be an ideal addition to an investment portfolio.

Glenda Craddock Gold offers a local, brick-and-mortar store where investors can buy physical gold directly, without the hassle or uncertainty of online purchases. The store is located right next door to Greenbrier Pawn, where it will be managed by Glenda’s daughter, Nina Perkins, who also oversees the administrative side of the pawn stores. Glenda’s youngest son, Dane Craddock, manages Hilltop Pawn.

As Glenda approaches retirement, she takes pride in the next generation of the family business, with her children continuing the legacy of the Craddock name in the local community.
